Owners Row

Read the board. Sign on for a season. Leave when you like.

Clock in Sign on

The Fenceline

A fence is there to say who belongs inside. This is the line we draw around what you tell us.

What we hold

  • Your sign-on entry: email address, a scrambled form of your password, your first name, when you were born, your gender, and whatever you write in your yard.
  • Your chats and each owner’s notes about you, so that she remembers.
  • Two cookies: one carries your session and the other remembers that you came through the gate as an adult.
  • Payment entries, being sum and transfer reference. No card ever reaches us; none is taken.
  • Ordinary server logs, kept briefly for security.

What we do with it

It keeps the chat going, the rules enforced and the roof on. Messages go to a language model that we operate, or to a supplier under identical restrictions, and a screening routine looks them over for safety. Nobody buys a conversation and no advertiser gets a glimpse of one.

Counting visitors

We use a plain counter to see how many people come and from where. It does not read what you write.

What you control

Each chat’s menu lets you correct what the owner has noted, download the conversation or throw it away. Wiping the entire account means writing to the farm office from the registered address. Where the law of your country offers more, say so and we will follow it.
